Zero Calibration#

Warning
  1. Make sure the firmware version is ≥ 5.1.6.
  2. Make sure you have stopped the driver process for the device being zero-calibrated.

If the LED status light bar pulses yellow (flashes yellow) after the system stabilizes following power-on, AIRBOT has detected that its zero reference has been lost and must be recalibrated:

  • Prepare to support the AIRBOT Play tool end by hand, because it will drop when the arm enters free-drive mode.
  • Press and hold the base button for 3 seconds. After you hear a click, the robotic arm releases the motor brakes and the motors enter free-drive mode, in which joint friction is relatively high.
  • Manually drag the robotic arm to the zero position, referring to the zero marks on the arm. The J1 motor should be placed in the middle position, while the J2 and J3 motors should be placed at their lowest hardware-limit positions.
  • Press the base button again. Calibration is complete after you hear another click.

After calibration, the status light bar pulses white when a USB cable is connected, or remains solid white when no USB cable is connected.
