Software Installation#
Note: Prepare two installation packages, available from the Changelog V5.2 section: the airbot-arm main-program deb package and the airbot-arm external SDK whl package.

Host Computer Requirements
- Operating system: Ubuntu 20.04 or later
- Python version: Python 3.10 or later (required when using the SDK)
- CPU: ≥ 4 cores (recommended for real-time control and simulation)
- Video memory: ≥ 8 GB (≥ 10 GB recommended for pi0 algorithm inference; ≥ 16 GB for the DISCOVERSE simulator)
- Storage: ≥5GB of available disk space for the operating system, software, and data
- USB ports: Make sure enough USB ports are available for any external devices or peripherals (more than 3 USB ports are recommended for running ALOHA / Mobile ALOHA algorithms)

Install the Python SDK
Creating a Virtual Environment Is Recommended
We recommend using Conda to create an independent Python virtual environment. This effectively avoids dependency conflicts and is particularly suitable for running SDK examples and installing dependencies. For example:
conda create -n airbot python=3.10 conda activate airbotIf you have not used Conda before, see the official website to learn how to use it. This step takes approximately an additional 10–20 minutes.
